The current growth of the population aged 65+ has major implications for employees & employers. Recent surveys of major corporations show that 25% of their employees are providing care to an elderly relative in addition to their work & other family responsibilities. Companies across the country are recognizing the impact that elders can have on their employees' effectiveness & efficiency & are initiating supportive programs ranging from basic information to concrete services. Here, described are ways that community agencies can become involved in developing & offering services to corporations to assist their empoyees with elder care.
