Technics topics: slip resistance and the designer

Progressive Architecture

Author: Kohr, R. L.
Year: 1991
Type: Journal Article

Abstract:

Kohr describes measures that designers and architects can take to ensure safer floors. Architects have the legal responsibility to provide reasonably safe premises and should take into account the potential uses and misuses of that place. Slip resistance test methods have their own limitations. Methods established by ASTM and ANSI standards are useful and the methodology is continually being improved.
