Pacific Rim countries face rapid aging of the population. Its speed exceeds European countries which have led aging research since 1960s. It is time for gerontologists in the Pacific Rim region to come together, share the problems, join forces and propose solutions to the world. The primary purpose of the conference is to form a network of junior researchers in gerontology across the Pacific Rim countries. They share the knowledge and problems through the program, and at the end of the conference, work together to propose new international- interdisciplinary research projects led by junior researchers.
