In Bolton Health District 271 people who had been rehoused on previous termmedical groundsnext term in1979 were contacted in 1982 and the suitability of their present accommodation was assessed from a questionnaire and a visit from a Health Visitor. Whilst the majority of those rehoused were satisfied with their housing, there appeared to be little improvement in their previous termmedicalnext term conditions. It is recommended that more detailed assessment of their conditions takes place with emphasis on rehabilitation accompanied by modifications and adaptations in the applicant's present accommodation.
