This standard specifies general requirements, for the design and construction of playground equipment, that are intended to minimise potential hazards in such equipment. It also specifies loads and design criteria for members and components used in the construction of playground equipment from materials specified in Part 1 of this standard. NOTE: Siting of playgrounds, installation and maintenance of equipment and surfacing materials are covered in AS 2155.
