Abstract:

This study provides an anlaysis of the first year of data relating to older people from the scottish household survey (1999). This analysis is supplemented by results from other relevant qualitative and quantitative data sources and is set in the context of current issues and policy initiatives relating to older people. Recommendations for further analysis and devlopment of Scottish household survey data relating to older people are also identified.
