Abstract:

Nearly one in five New Zealanders live with the effects of a disability. When refurbishing or altering a non-domestic building, an important consideration is the provision of access and other facilities for people with disabilities. The ideal is to design accessible facilities with features which are universally acceptable and usable by all communities.
