This a project report for phase one of a three year study aimed at implementing minor, inexpensive and practical adaptations in the homes of increasingly disabled elderly. It includes an assessment tool designed to assess the functional limitations of elderly people and identify the ways in which their home environment could be adapted to aid them in the activities of daily living.
