The Housing and Support Services Project described in this discussion paper, aims to assess the current linkages between housing and support services, identifies issues related to linking housing and support services for persons with a disability and / or medical condition and explores the impact of stronger linkages on these people and on community providers of housing services and support services. Changes in housing policy and support service policy are considered and a brief overview of people with disabilities is provided including the incidence of disability in Victoria and level of support services required. Linkages between disability, psychiatric and aged care services are identified and roles and responsibilities of services are discussed.
