Abstract:

This speech by Australian Network for Universal housing Design forum Commissioner Graeme Innes is about the increasing need for modified housing and accessibility to public buildings, goods, services and facilities for disabled people through a human rights context, the legal obligation by government to meet this need through the 'Universal Declaration of Human Rights' and through the Federal Disability Discrimination Act, the need for this be carried out in a sustainable method and an action plan so this can be carried out. The speech also the increasing demands for funding to care for a growing number of people with dementia.
