Abstract:

This report examines the Disability Right's commission's mission to achieve a society in which all disabled people can participate fully as equal citizens. Central to this is the right of disabled people to live independently, with choices, dignity and appropriate controls. The report examines this buy building a picture of disabled people's experiences of housing and associated services in the private, public and voluntary sectors. Another is the identification of the social policy the picture raises. The last is researching existing projects, campaigns and consortia that focus on these issues and the progress that has been made on each.
