Houses for all ages: adaptable design

Australasian Journal on Ageing

Author: Archibald, P.
Year: 1999
Type: Journal Article

Abstract:

Architecture for both older people and younger people should be the best that is possible. Australians should be able to look forward to a future where residential architecture is adaptable, natural and able to be changed, not expensive, pretentious or irrelevant, but with a sense of purpose which is socially and economically relevant enough to enhance and reinforce quality of life in the community.
