This booklet focuses on the unisex WC which permits wheelchair users to manage independently or with assistance from a helper of the opposite sex. It clarifies and expands on the guidance in BS5810 code of practice for Access For The Disabled To Buildings and in Part M of the Building Regulations 1985. It also gives advice on alternative layouts that may be appropriate in certain circumstances, advises on distribution and addresses the problems presented by small buildings.
