Getting in Touch: a Carer Support Model Using Teleconferencing.

Author: Shanley, C.
Year: 2001
Type: Web Page

Abstract:

This manual is the main outcome of the Carer Support Network Project funded in 1999 by the NSW Ageing and Disability Department as part of the NSW Action Plan on Dementia. It gives practical information on how to run a telephone support group and is a major advance in supporting carers in NSW. It gives workers in the field new opportunities to reach out to people who are isolated by distance, language or by other circumstances. It has useful information on groupwork skills, planning a program, evaluation and deciding on whether to use teleconferencing.
