A summary of the literature on the impact of caregiving on family caregivers' physical & emotional health, reviewing research on patient & caregiver factors that contribute to negative effects on caregiver health, & discussing the role of caregiver coping efforts in mediating these effects. Finally, current research on effects of support groups & respite services for caregivers is discussed.
