EMG signal processing for a range of human motor tasks.

Author: Wong, M.T., Brown, T.I.H.
Year: 1999
Type: Web Page

Abstract:

Analysing the envelope of surface EMG signals has proven useful for studies of walking on level ground. However, envelope analysis has rarely been used for other daily activities. such as climbing or descending stairs and sitting down onto a chair or standing up from a chair. Applying the method across a range of activities has been useful allowing comparison between the various activities. This work has been applied to studies of muscle wastage in amputees.
