Abstract:

This book is describes a simple experiment by the author who disguises herself for three years as an elderly woman of eighty, by utilizing make-up to change her physical appearance and tactics to limit her vision, hearing and movement. By experiencing first-hand what it is like to cope with physical limitations, and to observe the public reaction to the aged and physically limited, a degree of empathy and reflection on how society treats the aged is described.
