Build

Author: Bulleyment, A.
Year: 2002
Type: Journal Article

Abstract:

The New Zealand Building Act 1991 requires commercial buildings to be accessible to people with disabilities. The requirements of the Building Act can be satisfied by compliance with New Zealand Standard 4121:2001 : Design For Access And Mobility - Buildings and Associated Facilities. To make a building truly accessible, the changes should be incorporated at the design stage.
