Design meets disability

Author: Pullin, G.
Year: 2009
Type: Book

Abstract:

This book examines the relationship between design and disability. The author argues that disability and design can inspire each other, including examples of fashionable eyewear, new forms of Braille for both sighted and visually impaired people, and simple universal design avoiding the need for complicated accessibility features. Also featured are a series of interviews with designers about specific disability design projects.
