Abstract:

The purpose of this Factsheet is to help service providers and trades people select colours and colour combinations for the households of elderly and visually-impaired individuals. This Factsheet supplements the HMinfo publication Industry Checklist: The application of colour and colour contrast in the home environment of the elderly and visually impaired individuals. It highlights critical information about each item on the checklist. These are only a starting point and an understanding of basic construction principles, building codes and regulations is assumed.
