Abstract:

The Disability Rights Commission has written and produced this Code of Practice on Part 3 (and related housing provisions) of the Disability Discrimination Act. The Act provides practical guidance on how to prevent discrimination. The Code helps disabled people to understand the law and assists those with obligations to avoid complaints and litigation by adopting good practice. It also aims to advance the elimination of discrimination against people with disabilities. The code applies to England, Wales and Scotland.
