Some useful guidelines are given for designing a kitchen for a person with a specific disability, for example, wheelchair users, ambulant people, people with vision impairment, people with cognitive impairment, children with disabilities. Designs to suit people with one type of disability may not be suitable for another. The author provides some general principles that can be applied to the type and level of disability to be accommodated.
