WA HACC transition to the CHSP (from 1 July 2018)

Published

WA HACC services for older people will transition to the CHSP and My Aged Care from 1 July 2018.

The Commonwealth and WA governments are continuing to jointly engage with WA service providers and the assessment services on the transition process to ensure providers and assessors are informed of the transition process and next steps.

WA HACC service providers will be offered a two-year CHSP funding agreement to 30 June 2020, in line with the extension of existing CHSP funding agreements in the other states/territories, announced in the 2017-18 Budget.

A second roadshow (live presentation) will occur in WA from 16 to 20 April 2018 to prepare providers for the imminent transition to the CHSP. The roadshow will provide important information about provider responsibilities including the new CHSP grant agreements, My Aged Care operations and Data Exchange training. This is a follow up to the August 2017 roadshow.

The roadshow will include sessions in the Perth metropolitan and south west areas. All WA regional and remote providers will have the opportunity to participate via videoconferencing facilities. Invitations to the roadshow will be sent to service providers in the coming weeks.

WA HACC providers will continue to receive direct email notifications of details of the April roadshow, as well as other information about the transition.
