In their report from the 23rd of March as part of the Senate inquiry into The transition of the Commonwealth Home Support Program to the Support at Home program, Senate Community Affairs Committee "has recommended the government extend funding to the Commonwealth Home Support Program to July 2030, and for the program to be retained as a separate block-funded program".
The report has eight key reccomendations including: adopting the recommendations of the Auditor-General in the Effectiveness of the Commonwealth Home Support Program (report from 14 May 2026), that the CHSP remain separate, and that CHSP funding be extended to July 2030.
