Out of scope Support at Home services

The Department of Heath, Disability and Ageing has communicated the following about out of scope Support at Home services.

"Support at Home providers can only deliver and claim funding for:

• services and items on the Support at Home service list, which covers ongoing services, the End-of-Life Pathway and Restorative Care Pathway
• items on the Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM) list and their associated services, such as prescriptions.

Items not on these lists, or listed as exclusions, are out of scope and cannot be funded under any circumstances.

Examples include:

• continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines
• medication packs and other dose administration aids
• continuous glucose monitors
• fuel cards.

Before delivering support:

• check the relevant list
• explain to participants what services and items are out of scope
• tell participants about other government funding options or state-based schemes.
