OT AUSTRALIA National Conference and Exhibition 2011

The Occupational Therapy Australia National Conference is the largest, most significant professional gathering of occupational therapists in Australia bringing together participants from all around the country and overseas. It provides a fantastic opportunity for networking and professional development, plus a chance to view the latest in healthcare products and technology at our Trade Exhibition.

The Conference Planning Committee is working on an exciting and topical program built around the theme of Making Evidence Work: Informing practices, organisations and the profession. This theme emphasises the importance of knowledge to inform policies and practices that impact upon the OT profession.

It offers everyone, from the policy maker through to the senior manager, practitioner and student, a host of challenges and innovative ideas to discuss and workshop during the conference and to utilize back in the workplace.

The landscape for occupational therapists is changing with the profession receiving confirmation that Occupational Therapists have achieved national registration, commencing in 2012. Your professional development from 2011 will count towards your profession development, and, combined with the move to a single national entity, the 24th National Conference promises to be the premier professional event for all OT's throughout Australia.

As the peak professional body representing occupational therapists in Australia, Occupational Therapy Australia is proud to host this event and looks forward to welcoming you to your National Conference.
