From 1 July 2012, NSW has sole responsibility for community care supports
for younger people. ‘Younger people’ are people under the age of 65, or 50
for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people. Previously these services were
provided under the Commonwealth / State Home and Community Care
(HACC) program.
The NSW Community Care Supports Program (CCSP) is funded and
administered by Ageing, Disability and Home Care (ADHC). The CCSP
provides basic community support services to approximately 54,000 people in
NSW.
