New report on understanding local community specific aged care considerations

Published

A new report to support people involved in planning, funding or delivering aged care to better understand local community specific aged care considerations has been released.

It outlines the evidence base for planning aged care over the next decade during a time of regulatory change.

Demographic changes due to an increase in the proportion of population who are ageing is creating workforce pressure for those who are involved in providing services for aged care. The new aged care act has changed the regulatory environment. The discussion of those pressures has so far been mostly at a national level, this report is more focused on the characteristics of individual communities.
