As part of the new NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (Commission) requirements, existing NDIS registered providers in NSW and SA will be required to obtain verification or certification against the new NDIS practice standards as part of the new arrangements due to commence from 1 July 2018. Providers will be phased in to the new registration and audit requirements. Further detail on the phasing will be provided in the near future. The Department of Social Services (DSS) has arranged for a series of information sessions to assist existing NDIS registered providers to understand the process necessary to obtain certification or verification.
