Through the Australian Government’s Carer Gateway, carers can now access a range of support and services to help manage their emotional health and wellbeing. No matter where a carer may live, a flexible workforce of service providers are available to ensure carers have access to the support and services they need. Online coaching, counselling, emergency and planned respite, peer support and financial support through Carer Directed Support Packages are some of the services available through Carer Gateway. A one-hour program is available to disability workers, on the Disability Awareness website, supporting tertiary students with a disability. The program is designed to build a better understanding and knowledge of how best to support students with disability in tertiary settings.For more information visit the Disability Awareness website.
