NDIS in Practice: Quality and Safeguarding Workshops

The 'NDIS in Practice – Quality and Safeguarding Workshop’ is an operationally focused workshop that is being delivered across Victoria. This workshop will focus on key themes within Quality and Safeguards, and be designed to draw on real provider experiences to assist organisations to thrive in the NDIS landscape.

The workshop will include: 

Part 1: Embedding Quality and Safeguards and Fostering Positive Cultures. This session will provide a chance for discussion and learning around how the requirements for quality and safeguards go beyond a list of boxes to tick, and highlighting quality and safeguards as a philosophy that goes towards human rights and the wellbeing of participants.

Part 2: Practice Leadership, Reflective Practice and Continuous Quality Improvement. This session will provide a chance for discussion and learning around practice leaders and their role and importance in quality and safeguarding, and how to best make use of reflective practice and quality improvement to meet Q&S standards. 

Part 3: Efficiently Complying with the Quality and Safeguards Commission. This session will provide a chance for discussion and learning around the stressors on providers that make it hard to operate efficiently whilst complying with Q&S standards. 

Who should attend? 

NDS recommends that strategic leaders within disability service organisations are most suited to attend including; CEOs, CFOs and high-level managers.
