National Construction Code now (NCC) free online

Published

The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) will be making the National Construction Code (NCC) free online from 2015.

This is an initiative of the Australian and State and Territory governments to improve access to the code for the broader construction industry. Previously, the NCC has been available via purchase or subscription only.

Information on pre-registering for NCC 2015, options for obtaining hard copy editions of the code and answers to frequently asked questions are provided in Issue 13 of The Australian Building Regulation Bulletin.

The NCC comprises of the Building Code of Australia and the Plumbing Code of Australia and is produced by the ABCB on behalf of the Australian governments for the purpose of new construction work in all Australian State and Territory jurisdictions.

For more information and registration information can be found at www.abcb.gov.au.
