My Aged Care Changes in 2015 - Webinar

The purpose of this webinar is to provide information to providers on changes to the CHSP and HCP that will occur on 1 July 2015.

The Department of Social Services (DSS) is hosting a webinar for aged care stakeholders on the upcoming changes to My Aged Care.

My Aged Care will be expanded in 2015 to include:

  • a nationally consistent screening and assessment process, with home support assessments undertaken by the My Aged Care Regional Assessment Service and comprehensive assessments undertaken by Aged Care Assessment teams;
  • a client record to allow client information to be appropriately shared with assessors and service providers;
  • an enhanced service finder;
  • electronic referrals managed via the My Aged Care online portals; and
  • service providers being able to self-manage their own service and availability data using the portal.  

This webinar will provide information about the upcoming changes to My Aged Care. There will be a demonstration of how service providers and assessors will interact with My Aged Care via the online portals, including an explanation of the steps that need to be undertaken to set up your organisation in the portal (e.g. add staff), and an explanation of how the portal will be used to support clients to access services (e.g. accept a referral). The webinar will also outline the support available to the aged care sector during the transition, and provide an opportunity to ask questions.
