Ministerial launch of OPAN’s training videos and framework – 15 November

The Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) has developed online training videos for aged care workers. The short videos aim to help aged care staff understand:

• consumers’ rights
• the role of OPAN as the provider of the National Aged Care Advocacy Program.

OPAN has also developed a National Elder Abuse Prevention and Advocacy Framework to guide the organisation’s response to elder abuse. This work stems from a recent boost in funding for OPAN to tackle elder abuse.

Minister Wyatt will be launching the training videos and framework with OPAN on Thursday 15 November in Perth. You can register to attend the launch in person or view the live webcast.
