Management system eases transition to new standards

Published

LASA is launching an online tool to help home and residential aged care providers transition to the new quality standards which come into force this year.

From July 1 all providers will be assessed against the new Aged Care Quality Standards which will replace the accreditation, home care, NATSIFAC and transition care standards.

The new single set of standards will apply to all aged care services including residential, home, flexible care and CHSP.

The government says the standards focus on quality outcomes for consumers while simplifying regulation for providers who are working across multiple aged care services, and encouraging excellence and innovation in the industry.
