Less than a month to go until ATSA Disability Expos 2019

Published

The ATSA Independent Living Expos are returning to Sydney and Brisbane in 2019, with Brisbane expanded to take place over two days this year.

A new addition to the ATSA Independent Living Expos is AUSTSWIM’s Making Aquatics a Terrific Experience (MATE) workshop, which takes place on Tuesday May 7 in Sydney and Tuesday May 14 in Brisbane.

The MATE workshop is an interactive community workshop aimed at optimising health and wellness opportunities for people with medical conditions and/or disabilities. The MATE workshop provides participants with the information, skills and confidence to take a person with a medical condition and/or disability to the pool for recreation activities. The workshop is already proving popular with a number of allied health professionals, parents and carers of people with disability already registered to attend.
