IT 4 OT

This is a four hour training session aimed at Occupational Therapists in private practice.

The training looks at the using Microsoft Office software to a create client database and electronic forms which fill automatically from the database. The course is aimed at assisting OT’s towards a paperless practice and to address some of the logistics of doing this.
Also provides an overview of latest hardware (eg tablets/iPads) and software that can be used to assist in the management of a private practice.
Participants will be required to bring their own computers with Microsoft Office software installed (especially Word and Excel).
Learning Outcomes
Upon completing this course, participants:
• Will be able to create a client database
• Will be able to create, link and use forms which will fill automatically from the database
• Will be aware of latest hardware developments and the features that need to be considered from an OT perspective
• Will consider logistical issues concerning storing and sharing documents electronically
Pre-requisites Participants should have a basic understanding of Windows and have had some experience using Microsoft Office programs.
