The department is aware of some confusion around younger people currently accessing aged care services who may also be eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
While security of tenure provisions mean a care recipient can choose to receive their home care package, it is expected that most clients will exit and receive services through the NDIS.
