Having your say: How to provide feedback on changes to aged care services (for carers)

Following the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, the Australian Government has committed to significant changes to the aged care system which aim to improve the quality and safety of care. This has created increased opportunities for aged care providers, consumers and carers to have their say on the future of aged care. However, it can be difficult to know where to find information about opportunities to provide feedback or how to respond to these opportunities.

This training will aim to increase your confidence in identifying and participating in opportunities to provide feedback to the Australian Government on aged care reforms, this will include:

  • One online 30-minute training session outlining the aged care policy landscape, explaining why it is important to have your say and providing an overview of the consultation process and other opportunities to provide feedback
  • One follow up online 60-minute skills-focused workshop that aims to build the capacity of carers to participate in or respond to consultation opportunities.

Sessions are delivered online via the ZOOM platform and are free to attend.
