Quality Update: Subsidy and Support Available

Quality Subsidy applications now open to eligible organisations

All eligible Ageing, Disability and Home Care (ADHC) funded Community Care Support Program (CCSP) organisations and new disability service providers are encouraged to apply for a one-off subsidy to assist your organisation with achieving Third Party Verification (TPV) before the closing date of 15 May 2016.

Your organisation is eligible for the subsidy if it:

  • is funded by the ADHC Community Care Support Program (CCSP)
  • is a non-government organisation
  • has not previously accessed the subsidy.

In the coming weeks, National Disability Services (NDS) will be in contact with new providers who are eligible to receive the subsidy.

All ADHC funded service providers are required to undertake Third party verification (TPV) once during the term of the current (2015- 2018) funding agreement. Details of this requirement can be found in the terms and conditions of your ADHC 2015–2018 funding agreement.

Third party verification is more than simply meeting compliance obligations. By going through this process, you’ll be able to better support your employees and give your current and potential clients confidence in your organisation’s ability to meet their needs. It will also give you a chance to revise your existing systems and processes and hone your approach to customer service so that your organisation can thrive under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Attaining TPV is a critical step in NSW when applying for NDIS Provider Registration. Advice and tips on how to achieve TPV, including a step-by-step process is available on the IDF website

Reimbursements against the eligible subsidy must be submitted by 30 June 2016.

A list of Third Party Verifiers can be found on the NDS Quality Resource Page

Access to the subsidy, along with tailored supports to achieve Third Party Verification is available through NDS at:

    Upcoming Training and Resources Available

To assist your organisation to implement the new quality requirements, training for CCSP and new disability service providers on the NSW Quality Framework (including the NSW Disability Service Standards) will be provided in the near future. All ADHC funded services providers will be notified of training session dates and locations via a portal message.

A range of ADHC quality resources have been designed to support your organisation  through the range of activities you are required to undertake as part of the NSW Quality Framework and include:

  • learning about ADHC’S quality requirements,
  • preparing for any changes your organisation might need to make,
  • implementing quality management activities,
  • demonstrating performance against the NSW DSS, and
  • continuous improvement activities.

The Quality Support program is funded by the Industry Development Fund (IDF). For more information on the IDF, please visit www.idfnsw.org.au
