Duty of care: aged care sector in crisis

Published by the Committee for Economic Development of Australia, this report examines the shortages in the Australian aged care workforce. 

The reports finds that low levels of migration and increased attrition in the sector have exacerbated existing shortages. Furthermore, if workforce shortages at this level continue, Australia will not have enough workers to meet the basic standards of care recommended by the Royal Commission.
