Disability Safe project update

Training Calendar

The Disability Safe Project offered through NDS and funded through the Industry Development Fund is now offering a number of training courses in 2013.  Whilst space available in some courses is limited, further courses will be scheduled if there is sufficient interest. See the event calendar [Word 139KB] for registration details.

Interest sought

The Disability Safe Project is reviewing options for delivery of other training information including e-learning options in relation to:

  • Driver safety
  • Workplace bullying awareness
  • Slip/trip/fall prevention

To identify the demand for access to such resources could you please indicate in this short survey your interest in the above e-learning modules by January 30.

Are you conducting Assault Prevention Training in 2013?

If you are going to be training groups of workers in Assault Prevention Training such as PART, non-violent crisis intervention (NCI), Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Guided Incident Response Training (GIRT) etc., the Disability Safe Project would like your organisation to participate in some research aimed at measuring the benefits of these training courses to your organisation.  This will involve supplying some details of incident frequency and outcomes prior to and after conducting the training.  If you would be willing to participate in this study please register here.

WHS Benchmarking more relevant than ever

WHS Benchmarking will be undertaken for the 2012/2013 financial year.  Details can be found at the Disability Safe website.
