DEMENTIA SPECIALIST HOME CARE: PROMOTING INDEPENDENCE THROUGH QUALITY CARE AT HOME (PITCH) PART 1

PITCH aims to increase the skills and confidence of home care workers to deliver high quality dementia care that promotes independence, improves quality of life and reduces carer stress. PITCH was co-designed by a team of people including home care workers and their clients.

Part 1 of this workshop series focuses on:

  • Exploring your role in supporting people living with dementia
  • Increasing your knowledge of dementia and its impact

Who should attend the workshop:

  • Anyone who provides care for people living with dementia, especially in the community
  • Please note that it is recommended to attend both part 1 and part 2 of this workshop
THIS WORKSHOP WILL ADDRESS THE FOLLOWING AGED CARE STANDARDS
  • Aged Care Standard 1 - Consumer dignity and choice
  • Aged Care Standard 3 - Personal care and clinical care
  • Aged Care Standard 4 - Services and supports for daily living
