Creating safe residential timber-framed constructions in non-cyclonic areas

Published

Organisations within the building and construction industry must continually work to meet strict requirements to maintain quality and performance of projects, and above all - prioritise safety.

AS 1684.2-2010 is the Standard for residential timber-framed construction in non-cyclonic areas. It provides the building industry with procedures that can be used to determine building practice, design or check construction details.

This Standard also determines member sizes and bracing and fixing requirements for timber-framed construction, minimising the risk of a structure's performance being adversely affected.

Ensure your projects are meeting the requirements set out in AS 1684.2-2010.
