CHSP grandfathered client additional migration – My Aged Care provider portal now open

Published

Following the previous 2019-20 Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) grandfathered data migration exercise, some client records were unable to be created/updated due to data matching issues, errors or incomplete information.

CHSP providers with grandfathered clients without a My Aged Care client record are now able to submit their client information to the My Aged Care provider portal. The portal will remain open for 10 weeks and will close at 11.59pm AEDT on
Friday 29 January 2021.

By the deadline, CHSP providers need to collect data from grandfathered clients who have received services in the last two years (2018-2020) and complete all steps required.

CHSP providers MUST use the new template provided for their client data collection, prior to uploading in the My Aged Care provider portal via the CHSP grandfathered client tile.

CHSP providers are reminded that clients who submit their information for this project do not need to undertake an assessment. Providers should not refer any grandfathered clients for an assessment unless their needs have changed.

Further information

  • CHSP providers with large numbers of affected grandfathered clients have been individually contacted.
  • Detailed technical information about this data collection process is available on the department’s website under CHSP News.
