Calls for CHSP to continue as a separate program and establishment of a new national primary aged care program

Published

A position statement has been released by the CHSP Alliance about why CHSP should remain as a separate program.

The continued opposition to the government’s plan to merge the Commonwealth Home Support Program into the Support at Home program is also outlined in the statements. The statements outline on why CHSP should not be folded into Support at Home.

The statement also calls for the establishment of a new national primary aged care program, conceptualised with  CHSP at the core.

The alliance also published a position statement on why CHSP should not be folded into Support at Home. It includes 15 arguments for remaining separate starting with its role as a primary tier for aged care.

The full position statement can be read here, under the “Reports and Submissions” heading.
