Access Ability: A Practical Handbook on Accessible Graphic Design

Published

With the support of the Government of Ontario, Canada, the Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario (RGD) has released this handbook on accessible graphic design. The handbook is a free resource for anyone interested in designing communications that are more accessible and inclusive. It covers print, web and environmental design, offering ideas on how to do better design. Rather than presenting a prescribed set of rules, it discusses what factors to consider, what questions to ask, and where to find more information.

The information within this resource, which has been made available online for free, is not only pertinent to accessible design, but contains a lot of common-sense information that would make a great resource for any student of design, and for all practitioners. The clean and simple layout, the clear language, and fantastic examples make this resource a must-have for all design studios.

If you have any questions about this project and/or you would like to obtain copies of the printed handbook, contact RGD by phone at 1.888.274.3668 or by email (click here).
