A new Disability Services Act built on lived experience

This article, published by Pro Bono Australia, discusses the first major review of the Disability Services Act since its introduction in 1986. 

A public consultation process is open online until 20 December 2022, and aims to ensure the new Act is modern and suitable for the needs of the one in six Australians that live with disability.

Disability sector organisations have widely supported the consultation process, which will enable disability groups and people with lived experience to have their say on the evolution of the Disability Services Act.
