2011 AAG Rural Conference

The 2011 AAG Rural Conference will provide the opportunity to discuss some key issues of interest to health and aged care practitioners, policy makers, researchers and anyone interested in current issues in ageing. The theme for the Conference is 'Across the divide: lessons on care from urban and rural communities.'

Topics to be addressed include:

    * Care and community participation
    * Caring for groups with particular needs e.g. those with a disability
    * Consumer directed care; and Enablement models of aged care
    * Assisting carers
    * Health care and caring in regional and rural areas
    * Health reforms, community care, and aged care
    * Mental health and caring
    * Advance care planning, and Palliative Care
    * Telemedicine and other technological innovations in care

Earlybird Registration closes on March 11.
