The 6th Knowledge Cities World Summit (KCWS-2013) will be gathering in Istanbul, Turkey, where two continents meet. Being inspired from the nature of the host city, the theme of ‘establishing bridges’ is selected as the overall theme of KCWS-2013. The summit, therefore, aims to bridge the knowledge gap in investing on sustainable and knowledge-based development and building successful cities of the knowledge era by bringing academicians, professional practitioners, civil servants and policy-makers of both prosperous and emerging knowledge cities of the world to share their knowledge and experiences with the summit delegates. Besides multidisciplinary keynote, academic and professional presentations, the summit will also provide hands-on exercises for the co-creation and exchange of knowledge through workshops and small group practice and discussion sessions in innovative formats.
